Setting up your remote
Your remote controls the Sky Q box straight away. The steps below are only needed if you also want it to control your TV volume.
Fit 2 × AAA batteries and point it at the box
That is everything for the Sky Q box itself. It uses infrared, so it needs a clear line of sight. No codes to enter.
Step 2 — set up your TV volume and power (optional)
Reset the remote
Hold 7 and 9 together until the light above the Sky button flashes four times. This clears any old settings.
Start the pairing
Point the remote at your Sky Q box and hold 1 and 3 together for three seconds.
Follow your TV screen
On-screen prompts walk you through setting your TV volume and power. Takes about two minutes.
If the remote stops responding
Hold 7 and 9 until the light flashes four times. This resets the remote to infrared mode and it will control the box again.
That reset also clears your TV volume settings, so run step 2 again afterwards. To force infrared mode at any time, hold 4 and 6.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to pair it to use my Sky Q box?
Not for the box itself. Fit 2 × AAA batteries, point it at the front of your Sky Q box and it works immediately using infrared. Pairing is only needed if you also want the remote to control your TV volume and power, which is step 2 above.
Why is my remote not responding?
Check the batteries first, then make sure nothing is blocking the line of sight to the front of the box. If it still will not respond, hold 7 and 9 until the light flashes four times to reset it to infrared mode.
How do I get my TV volume working?
Run step 2 above. Hold 7 and 9 to reset, then hold 1 and 3 for three seconds with the remote pointed at the box, and follow the prompts on your TV screen.
Is this the touch or voice version?
No. This is the non-touch, non-voice version. If your original remote had a glass touch strip or a microphone button at the top, this is not the right replacement. If it had standard plastic buttons throughout, this is the one you want.
How long will delivery take?
